DAY 01
AIRPORT – NEGOMBO APPROX 30 MIN DRIVE
Upon your arrival at the airport in Sri Lanka, you will be greeted by our Unique Lanka Travels representative, who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel in Negombo.
Check in to the hotel and freshen up after your journey for the city tour in Negombo. Once you’ve settled in, proceed on a guided city tour of Negombo.
Negombo is a picturesque coastal town known for its stunning beaches, bustling fish markets, and rich colonial history. Explore the Dutch Fort, and historic St. Mary’s Church, built during the Dutch colonial era, known for its unique architecture and religious significance, and Negombo Lagoon, where you can witness traditional fishing methods.

DAY 02
NEGOMBO -SIGIRIYA APPROX 03 1⁄2 HRS DRIVE
After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya. En route, make a memorable stop at the Millennium Elephant Foundation. Spend some time observing these majestic creatures as they roam and bathe in the river.
Afterward, continue your journey to Sigiriya. In the afternoon, climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most popular tourist attractions. This ancient stone fortress is considered the eighth wonder of the world, showcasing unbelievable technical stone methods and wall arts in a beautiful environment that demonstrates the unlimited talent of Sri Lanka’s rich history. According to Sri Lankan history, King Kashyapa created this Lion’s Rock to hide from his brother’s attacks. After the king’s death, Sigiriya served as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century.

After breakfast, proceed to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lazanka. En route, stop at a Spice Garden for a fascinating tour, where you can learn about various spices and their uses in Sri Lankan cuisine and traditional medicine.
Afterward, stop at a renowned Ceylon Gems workshop where you can learn about the fascinating world of gemstones. Discover the history, mining process, and importance of gems in Sri Lankan culture.
In the afternoon, visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya. The garden includes more than 4,000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees.

NUWARA ELIYA – ELLA APPROX 2 HRS DRIVE
In the early morning at 5:30 am, you leave for an exciting tour to Horton Plains National Park in a local van. This journey takes approximately one hour. The hotel will prepare breakfast packets for you to take and enjoy at a scenic spot within the park.
Horton Plains is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique ecosystems, rolling grasslands, dense forests, and stunning landscapes. Hike to popular attractions such as World’s End, a sheer cliff with a breathtaking view over the plains, and Bakers Falls, a picturesque waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
After Horton Plains take an unforgettable Train Ride from Pattipola ,the station at the highest elevation in the country to Ella. Board the scenic train journey, renowned for its stunning vistas of tea plantations, misty hills, and cascading waterfalls.
Your driver will meet you at the Ella train station with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel.

DAY 08
ELLA – YALA APPROX 02 HRS DRIVE
After breakfast, proceed on a scenic drive to Yala via the charming town of Ella.
Take a tuk-tuk ride to visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, a marvel of colonial-era engineering surrounded by lush greenery and the verdant landscape. Thereafter, visit Little Adam’s Peak; it’s named after its big brother, the holy mountain Adam’s Peak, because of the similar shape. It is very popular among tourists, so expect to meet many other people from all over the world on this trip.
Continue your journey to Yala, en route visiting Ravana Waterfall, Sri Lanka’s most iconic waterfall, named after the legendary king Ravana.

RELAX AT HIKKADUWA
YALA/ TISSAMAHARAMAYA – MIRISSA – GALLE – HIKKADUWA APPROX 5 HRS DRIVE
Depart very early in the morning for Mirissa Harbor, aiming to arrive by 6:30 AM for your shared boat tour to experience Whale and Dolphin watching. The hotel will arrange a packed breakfast to take away with you.
Thereafter, visit the city of Galle, including Galle Fort. This coastal city is known for its well-preserved Dutch colonial architecture, and the fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Start with a visit to the Gangaramaya Temple, where you can witness the harmonious blend of Buddhist, Hindu, and indigenous architecture. Blue Orbit makes history as Sri Lanka’s first-ever revolving restaurant and South Asia’s tallest dining venue, offering panoramic views of the city skyline. Thereafter, you can choose to continue your entertainment by either trying your luck at one of Colombo’s renowned casinos or dancing the night away at one of the city’s vibrant nightclubs.

After breakfast, it is time to bid farewell to the beautiful island of Sri Lanka with a heart full of cherished experiences and a camera full of beautiful memories.
