Often referred to as “Little England,” Nuwara Eliya is a lovely highland station providing a welcome diversion from the tropical heat. Nuwara Eliya takes guests to another age with its mild temperature, colonial era building style, and undulating tea estates. One absolutely must visit a tea factory to see the tea producing process and taste some of the best Ceylon tea. Hiking in the verdant surroundings is ideal; paths lead to amazing vistas including the well known Pedro Hill and Lover’s Leap.
